No, a country that does not progress stagnates and declines. There are numerous examples throughout history and in modern day to support that statement. Glenn Beck is wrong about this and about everything else. Propagandists like Beck spread misinformation and foment misguided hatred by working on the base emotions of fear, bigotry, resentment and feelings of helplessness. That method works but it damages the countries where the populace falls for it.
Sort of. The problem in this country is not directly progressives but it is not analyzing them properly. It is good to try to publicize the problem but the conservatives keep underestimating the degree of political sickness in the American voter. The neocons also overestimate the patriotism of some Americans. It feels good to pretend things are better than they are but that pretending leads to bad results.
They are most of the problem–but the remaining part of the problem is those that blindly follow them thinking they are caring liberals. If you doubt that, watch how many people blatantly and hatefully spew things about Christianity, other Americans, and children with disabilities. It’s a disease that needs to be eradicated. I have no idea when it became cool to be heartless, ruthless, self-serving and cruel.
He was very right. People have moved too far left and too far right. there is no middle man. and there is no one fighting for the middle class either. We have one party that only cares about padding the pockets of those greedy people who dont need it. and the other that just wants to give hard working peoples money away to people who dont deserve it. the “middle class” or the working class in my opinion. have no voice in the matter.

Though I am not a big Beck fan but he is correct not only in his opinion of progressives but he apparently dislikes almost all politicians now serving in congress. Republican, Liberal and Democrat. Frankly he may have a very valid point
