Where Can I Sell My Car Online But Locally?
I want to sell a 1998 Chrysler Cirrus for around 2500 to 3000 but no luck yet. It only has 80,000 miles on it. Am I asking for too much? The blue book says its worth around 2900 for its milage and Fair condition. Any other places I can try? I already tried Craigslist but no luck yet.

Low mileage used cars get bid on a lot there even crap like Chrysler.
That’s a bit high.
Suggest taking it to car max for an offer and then adjusting your price accordingly.
The car max offer may well scare you. It might be $1000-1500.
Anyway, when you get their offer, you want to lower your price to around $700-1000 over to start.
And then if you don’t get any bites, continue lowering the price.
Promote the low miles. Promote its a one owner. (If it is)
I just checked the black book wholesale valuation and its higher than I thought.
Avg book is $2535 and rough is $1225. (No chrysler ever brings clean)
My guess is real wholesale is about $1200-1500 and you may have to end up taking $500-700 over that figure just because, regardless of what a book says, you need a willing buyer or you don’t have a deal.
Id be very surprised if you could get more than $2495 for it. And even that might be pushing it.
Bottom line, its probably worth more to you than anyone else. Consider keeping it.
I was going to suggest Craig’s List before I read the rest of your question. I have always had good luck on that site – but be very aware of scam emails, cashiers checks, money orders and the like.
Suggest a price of $2900 or BRO (Best Reasonable Offer) and see what develops.
Deal locally and only accept cash or, if paid with a check, take it to the bank that it’s written on and cash it BEFORE you release the vehicle.
Do you have any local classified ad papers?
How about parking it with a for sale sign on it?
I don’t see how you’d expect to get $3000 out of a 12 year old Cirrus. I’m not arguing with the book, but I do think that seems strange.
