What Happened To Dan Brown’s Solomon Key………..????
He keeps pushing back the date. I suspect for many reasons. First, Freemasonry is a very complex and secret society. Learning information about it is very difficult to do. And I know Mr. Brown wants accuracy. I am sure that being that there are many books already out there on Freemasonry, he is having everything checked and triple checked to avoid another sham plagiarism trial. That trial took up a LOT of his writing time and set him back a great deal. Also, I think he has a very big burden on his shoulders trying to follow a mega hit like Da Vinci Code. How would you feel if you busted your tail on a new book and the reviewers pushed it aside by saying “Not as good as Da Vinci Code”? It is a tough act to follow. No author has really ever been in his position and none ever will.
The latest news I have heard is very late this year or early next year. Let’s all keep hoping.
In the meantime – have you read Steve Berry? Very similar books and in many ways, I like Berry better. His character Cotton Malone is much more intense than Robert Langdon.
You could also try Javier Sierra’s The Secret Supper which is terrific and a book called The Lost Van Gogh (forgot the author’s name). Then there is The Rule of Four which was fantastic.
You might also try Daniel Silva’s Gabriel Allon series which I think is the best of the lot. They are incredible. Both Mr. Berry and Mr. Silva have books due out soon too.

I don’t know. I’ve been waiting for news for at least a year or two myself, but it seems like the just keep pushing back the publication date. I think I heard something about how he’s doing research and trying to avoid law suits, but I don’t know how good that information is.
