Because it was based on facts.
I believe that Dan Brown has done a lot of research that companies wouldn’t want him to get out to the media. However I think he twists and stretches the facts to inane proportions so they’re almost entirely fiction.
Everyone has a different opinion on the Dan Brown books.

One shouldn’t think of information in fiction as being real, that is why it is fiction.

  • you can’t ‘rely’ on fiction. true, he does have a michael moorish sort of style and there are probably some grains of truth in what he has written in all his books. maybe it’s a massive conspiracy???

  • fargodak says:

The book is fiction, so why does it matter how accurate some of the points are?

  • Juliette says:

Dan Brown is FICTION writer period. All this controversy about the Di Vinci code is ridiculous. Read and enjoy!

  • Emma Woodhouse says:

The “facts” about the White House are fiction-just like the book itself-a good read,well- researched but definitely embellished.Just like the Da Vinci code…a grain of fact on a beach of fantasy:
    Don’t you mean grammar,Angel Blue?

  • why does EVERYBODY have to pick on Dan brown, analyse his every word, and find faults with his grammer? Cant we read a book just for the pleasure it gives?
