What Is A Good Way To Raise Your Metabolism Without Taking In Too Many Calories?

I know the general way of keeping your metabolism up throughout the day (Small healthy snacks, 6 small meals a day).
I am wondering if anyone has any other methods, or types of foods that will give your metabolism a boost.
Thanks in advance!

Food-eat lots of vegetables(not starches-potatoes, carrots, peas) Vegetables take more energy to digest than what they contain. Eat enough protein so that you do not use your muscle as fuel. Under most conditions, the body breaks down muscle for fuel first before it burns fat. I eat “large” healthy snacks throughout the day.
The best metabolism booster is to add muscle. One pound of muscle will use 800 calories per day(at rest)

    Exercising possibly.
Eating small meals is the best thing though.

Excercising is definitely the best way, long term excercise. If you like to swim, that is one of the best ways, the trick is to keep going past that point when you want to quit, it takes more from your body and trains it to use any food intake at a faster rate, even for the next few days.

Small, mini meals is one of the best things to do. You can also do at least 30 mins of cardio 4-5 days a week to raise your metabolism. Weight training will also do the trick because you burn more calories while you are at rest.
I have heard that spicy foods will raise your metabolism, if your stomach can tolerate it.
