Should Rush Limbaugh Win The Nobel Peace Prize?
Landmark Legal Foundation today nominated nationally syndicated radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh for the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.
Limbaugh, whose daily radio show is heard by more than 20 million people on more than 600 radio stations in the United States and around the world, was nominated for the prestigious award for his “nearly two decades of tireless efforts to promote liberty, equality and opportunity for all humankind, regardless of race, creed, economic stratum or national origin. These are the only real cornerstones of just and lasting peace throughout the world,” said Landmark President Mark R. Levin.
“Rush Limbaugh is the foremost advocate for freedom and democracy in the world today,” explained Levin. “Everyday he gives voice to the values of democratic governance, individual opportunity and the just, equal application of the rule of law — and it is fitting that the Nobel Committee recognize the power of these ideals to build a truly peaceful world for future generations.”

Actually, Landmark Legal Foundation nominated Rush weeks ago. This is old news. However, as much as I like and respect what Rush has contributed to the political discourse of the world, I do not believe he should win the Nobel Peace Prize. But neither should Al Gore either.
The prize has been perverted over the years to be a way for activist groups to acknowledge their particular hero. That was never the intention of Nobel when he set up the foundation. I lost all respect for the nomination process when Jimmy Carter won a few years back and it was blatantly acknowledged that the only reason he was chosen was to slam George Bush.
I bet Nobel has been spinning in his grave ever since.
of course he should.and while were at it,well give jeffery dahmer the public relations award.oh and lets not forget,we need to give tim hardaway the tolerance award
He won’t and knows he will not win. It is just funny they put him up for it.
Why not give both Sean Hannity, and Ann Coulter the Congressional Medal Of Honor? Neither one of them were ever in the service, neither one earned it, neither one actually, truly deserve it, just like that “Fat Sack-O-Crap” (tm.) that the Landmark Legal Foundation nominated. It’s meaningless.
Wow. I mean like really wow. Did these Landmark guys nominate Kermit the Frog for Miss America as well?
The thing is, anybody can be NOMINATED….Doesn’t mean they will win, ANd RUSS will not win!!
Only if it made of Vicodan and Oxycotin.
yea right as far right as you can go.
He is a terrible person and should be off the radio.
He must have shared some of his dope….
